RECs serve as a network of peer support professionals who work in either the mental health field as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or in the substance use disorder field as a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS). All peer support is welcome to attend RECs, even those just considering becoming a peer support professional. RECs provide training opportunities, leadership development, and advocacy to strengthen the voice of peer support professionals.
